Crop Protection for our Planet
Dedicated to Nature and Mankind
Through extensive academic research we have developed a biodegradable weed control formulation that is based on a food-grade molecule and doesn’t have hazardous side effects associated with other chemical alternatives. We are working to enable effective and efficient crop protection across all aspects of agricultural use as well as weed control for infrastructure and municipal protection that doesn’t impact human health or the wider environment. We hope our innovation will support the safe and sustainable economic and agricultural growth that mankind needs while putting less strain on human health and the wider environment.
Scientifically Proven Effective
The origin of our breakthrough was a simple observation by a researcher in New Zealand. Over the course of two decades this idea grew into a new method of managing plant growth through collaboration with other innovators. In Germany, the Julius-Kuhn Federal Research Institute for Cultivated Plants (JKI) has confirmed the efficacy of our solution through numerous studies andtrials. Field trials, overseen by the JKI, have shown comparable or better results than conventional chemical herbicides in controlling different plants and weeds. Research on ecotoxicity and residual substances in plants, fruits, soil and water are commissioned to confirm the formulation's safety towards humans, animals, and the environment.
The OKIPA Network is Global
The global network of partners for OKIPA are growing steadily, joined together by a mutual belief that innovative solutions can make our planet better for generations to come. Farmers, commercial associations, scientists, research institutes, seed and fertilizer trading companies, manufacturers of additives and agricultural equipment, and multiple business partners are joining OKIPA in turning this innovation into a viable product. Environmentally minded municipalities and local governments have now joined the mission in bringing a safer alternative for crop protection and weed control to market.
