Benefits of our product
Laboratory and field trials demonstrate the efficacy of our approach. OKIPA’s compound is as effective as the chemical herbicides that are currently on the market. The critical difference is that our solution utilizes a physical method of controlling plants and weeds so that it does not leave behind a chemical residue in the soil and surrounding plants.
The application of our solution is straight forward and simple. It is exactly the same as current chemical herbicides and utilizes the same equipment and techniques. No new equipment purchases are required. For smaller applications, hand sprayers can be utilized. For larger or industrial applications, existing sprayers, nozzles, and tanks are used. This allows an immediate transition to environmentally responsible weed control without any capital investment.
Our solution does not contain any toxic chemicals, in fact it’s based on a food-grade molecule that is well known and understood as well inert in the environment.
The cost of our product for farmers, municipalities and infrastructure providers will be comparable to the cost of the chemical herbicides that are currently available. We believe that any solution has to be economically sustainable, as well as environmentally responsible, in order for it to be adopted widely enough to have a positive impact on the planet.
